Advanced Soil pH Meter with Integrated Moisture Sensor

Designed for convenience and portability, complete with a protective carrying case. A smart choice for those looking to purchase high-quality tools online in the UK — engineered for durability in rigorous environments.

Obtaining pH readings is quick and straightforward, providing insights that can significantly enhance the vitality and growth of your grass and plants when acted upon promptly. This expert-grade instrument is intended for dependable daily use in both commercial and trade contexts. In critical situations, it can prevent the irreversible damage to plants and grass by notifying you of potential issues early on.

Functionality of the pH Meter

This pH meter is crucial for optimizing soil conditions for effective fertilizer uptake. Acidic soils require neutralization through lime or lime-based fertilizers, but excessive lime can result in manganese deficiency, leading to soil infertility. Hence, assessing the acidity level (pH) is imperative before applying lime. Ideally, neutral soil should register a pH of 7; ensure the instrument confirms this before proceeding with any tests.

Operating Instructions for the pH Meter

  1. Remove the device from its case and verify that the needle reflects a pH of 7. If it's not at this level, adjust it by removing the cover and glass window, then turning the calibration screw.
  2. The electrode is delicate; it should be rinsed with water and dried using a lint-free cloth both before and after use to maintain reading precision.
  3. Load the soil holder with the sample soil, ensuring full contact with the electrode surface. Insert the device into the soil until the electrodes are submerged. Rotate the instrument two or three times to enhance contact. The moisture level should be between 50% and 70% for accurate measurements.
  4. If the soil is excessively dry, dampen it using distilled water. Readings can be collected approximately 2 hours post moistening.
